Get started using this stone straight out of the box. The unique double-sided design features extra coarse 120 and 240 grit for restoring tough knife edges. Grip the clog-free surface, and slowly draw your knife down at a 20 degree angle across the water stone in a smooth motion starting at the heel and finishing at the tip. Repeat this action 5 times, then flip the knife and sharpen the reverse side. The difference between the dull blade and your newly sharpened knife is like night and day. You'll be able to easily identify the reformed cutting angle and toothy edged finish.
The silicone base ensures maximum safety during the sharpening process. The Messermeister Knife Sharpening Tool is a great entry-level water stone, allowing you to economically sharpen your knives throughout the year.
