We recondition, calibrate, and sell Hewlett-Packard Power Meters and sensors (E4419B, E4418B, 437B and 438A models) as well as other test and measurement equipment. If you need further information please message me. Also, my contact information may be found at EBAY's "about me" page.
This 8484A Power Sensor is in good condition. A new calibration factor (C.F.) label has been attached to the sensor. A 30 dB Reference Attenuator (11708A) and new custom case are included. A calibration chart as well as a "Certificate of Calibration" is also provided with the sensor.
The 8484A sensor is an older, first generation sensor to be used with the 435A, 436A, 437B and 438A Power Meters. The sensor is specified to accurately measure levels down to -70 dBm. In general, many of these older sensors loose the ability to accurately measure down to that specified level. A more realistic measurement is to about -60 to -65 dBm. The level used for calibration is -30 dBm. Sweeping the sensor at the lower levels is not normally done. The newer replacement sensor for the 8484A is the 8481D. This sensor will accurately measure down to the -70 dBm level if required. We stock the 8381D's and are available in another listing.
The sensor cable shown in the photo is not part of this sale but used to show cable storage compartment in the case.
A new 5 foot cable (11730A) may be purchased for 9.95 (new) or 99.95 (used - certified). Sensor cables of other lengths are available. Please contact me for pricing.
The photos in this listing may not be the sensor you will be receiving. We have many power meters and sensors in our inventory and the unit you receive will be as good or better than the one shown the photos.

    Description/Features:
The Agilent HP 8484A, Power Sensor, is designed for use with the EPM series, EPM-P series, 70100A, E1416A and the discontinued 43x power meters, and provides extraordinary accuracy and stability. The Keysight Agilent HP 8484A, Power Sensor, gives you extremely low SWR, and is traceable to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). A calibration port is included with the above power meters for calibration with the power sensor. This calibration provides traceability to NIST, and it eliminates the uncertainties due to temperature changes and the variance in making measurements with different meter/sensor combinations.
Frequency range - 10 MHz to 18 GHz.
Power level -70 to -20 dBm
    Low return loss (SWR)
    50 ohms
    Diode sensor
